The holidays are my favorite time of year and Denver is constantly adding new events every year! Here are some of the holiday attractions in Denver, just click on the title for more information on location, tickets, etc:
ZOO LIGHTS – Runs every night from December 5th – January 4th 5:30pm-9pm. This is a great event, just dress warm!
A CHRISTMAS CAROL – An all-time favorite! The Denver Center for Performing Arts has consistently done a great job with this classic! Running through December 28th, 2014!
THE NUTCRACKER – The Colorado Ballet presents it’s 54th annual production of ‘The Nutcracker’, complete with Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen!
HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS – This will be running from December 17th – December 28th at The Buell Theatre. I can already hear the lyrics ‘You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch’ running through my head. Sounds like a fun one for the whole family!
TRAIL OF LIGHTS AND BLOSSOM OF LIGHTS – Both of these events are put on by the Denver Botanic Gardens. The Trail of Lights is in Littleton at the Chatfield location and Blossom of Lights takes place within the Denver Botanic Gardens. These two events are running nightly through January 1st.
THE SANTALAND DIARIES – A one man performance with a slightly different take on the holidays that is strictly for adults.
BRILLIANT: CARTIER IN THE 20TH CENTURY – This may not have the holiday theme, but for those women with diamonds on their mind or men who love their designer accessories, the Denver Art Museum is the sole host for this Exhibition. Will be running through March 15th, 2015.
ICE SKATING AT SOUTHWEST RINK AT SKYLINE PARK – Here is a free event if you bring your own skates. $2 rentals available.
NEW YEAR’S EVE FIREWORKS IN DENVER – 2 Fireworks shows on New Year’s Eve along the 16th ST Mall, one at 9pm for the early birds, and a second at midnight to welcome in 2015!
