Happy Anniversary Breckenridge!
Opening Day was held on November 11, 2011 (11/11/11), with a mirriad of events held throughout the week in celebration of there 50th anniversary.
Breck’s actual 50th birthday will fall on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011. The resort will celebrate 50 years, commemorating the grand opening of the resort, which first opened to the public on Dec. 16, 1961.
Breckenridge will also have there "Lighting of Breckenridge" on December 3rd.
Following a season like never before last year, during which Breckenridge set a new record of 519 inches of snowfall over the course of the season, Skiers are in anticipation of another incredible year.
We are so lucky to live in Summit County being so close to Loveland, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone, A-Basin and Vail is about 20-30 min further west. Lucky enough, we can pick where to ski based upon, our expertise, who has gotten the most snow or who has the most terrain open on any given morning.
